Description

On this unique tour we visit the abandoned copper mines at Mathiatis. This mine has a fascinating history and has left an indelible mark on the landscape around it.

Located in the foothills of the Troodos Mountains, mining activity does still go on in the area as the price of copper has risen and other minerals are also present in the rich Cypriot rock.

This tour lasts around 5-6 hours and your own private guide will show you the wonders of this historic location.

This is a private tour for 2 people. A 3rd and 4th person can be added at a supplement. pick up time is 09.00am from hotels in the Larnaca areas.

Please book at least 7 days in advance. This tour does sell out at busy time so please give alternative dates if you have them.

We will always try to accommodate last minute bookings but we ask for a second choice of date/time in case your first choice is already full.

Children are welcome under their parents supervision. Please bear in mind that it is a long day with lots of travelling so may not suit all children.
