Description

Avakas Gorge is located around 15 minutes from Paphos in the Akamas national park area. Immerse yourself in the spectacular natural scenery and marvel at the power of nature which has carved the canyon out of the rocks.

There's dramatic cliffs, an abundance of plants and birds and you might even meet some friendly goats. The hike requires moderate fitness as there are areas where you need to go over or round rocks or step over streams. It's a good hike all the way through but you can take it as fast or slow as you prefer.

The reward for your efforts is simply stunning views, endless photo opportunities and the discovery of this marvel of nature hidden off the beaten track in western Cyprus.

Aphrodite's Rock (Petra Tou Romiou) is the mythological birthplace of the goddess of Love - Aphrodite. Legend has it that is you swim 3 times around her rock you will be blessed with eternal beauty. Take photo's walk along the beach and swim if you'd like.

This tour lasts around 6-7 hours and your own private guide will show you the wonders of this beautiful location.
