This half day jeep tour is a great way to see a little bit of the lesser visited places around the East Coast of Cyprus and we do it the fun way - by jeep! We start with a bit of nature and a visit to a secluded reservoir where we may spot some rare migratory birds. Enjoy the tranquility and see which animals and birds we can spot.
We then visit a museum park where a traditional Cypriot village has been recreated. Step back in time and explore the houses and the church and discover the traditions of how people lived and worked in this area of Cyprus generations ago. The park also has plenty to keep the kids happy with a playground and lots of farm animals for them to meet and interact with, including the friendly Cyprus donkeys.
From here we travel through the countryside of the famous "Red soil" villages, where much of the fruit and vegetables on the island are grown, and on to the delightful little fishing river- harbour of Potamos Liopetri. This sleepy backwater is home to an array of pretty little traditional fishing boats moored on the banks. Here we have some free time to either relax with a coffee at one of the tavernas or take a walk along the sandy beach where the spectacular waters of the Mediterranean will more than tempt you for a swim.
