Description

This unique private guided sea kayaking trip may also include snorkelling, depending on your preferences and time availability.

Our sit-on-top kayaks are light watercraft that can be used with no kayaking experience for a fun exploration of some of the most scenic coastlines in Cyprus. The water is crystal clear and an addition of snorkelling in these light blue waters enriches the experience.

We start from Green Bay beach and initially, we will kayak south just outside Cape Greko until we reach the tip of Konnos beach. We continue south past Agioi Anargyroi cave and reach south as far as 'Kamara tou Koraka' ('Crow's arch') natural bridge. We then return back in the opposite direction via Agioi Anargyroi, exploring more of the coastline up to the north end of Konnos beach. If the sea is calm (it very often is during the summer season), it is highly recommended that we also do some snorkelling (if customers like to - there are very good possibilities of spotting sea turtles either in Konnos beach or in Green bay).

The basic kayaking route:

Green Bay - Konnos beach - Agioi Anargyroi - Kamara tou Koraka and back (9 km / 5.5 mi)

Please note that for hygiene, you will need to provide your own snorkelling gear, if you wish to snorkel. This can be bought at most tourist shops around resort.

These trips are about exploration while respecting nature. We strive not to disturb the animals we see, we do not feed them and we avoid getting too close in a way that they may feel threatened, or may be harmed in any way.
As we move away from summer and temperature outside and in the water fall, participants wishing to swim or snorkel may feel more comfortable wearing a wetsuit (or similar, even a UV protective long sleeved top), especially if we are spending a long time in the water. What to bring

Water.

Snorkelling equipment (if you would like to snorkel)

Please keep in mind that while we do provide things like a dry bag, travellers should be clear that they would probably get wet and they should not bring along things that would be damaged by salt water.

The kayaks are light, only 18 kilograms each and can go relatively fast, depending also on the weight on them. There is some storage place on them. At the same time, people should keep in mind that increasing the weight on the sea kayaking, increases the work they would need to do to move the kayak forward.
