The local village of Sotira (10 minutes drive from Ayia Napa/ 15 minutes from Protaras) is home to the Octo Microbrewery and beer museum. This tasting tour gives you the chance to taste seven unique brews, including a historic fig beer made from a Bronze Age recipe and rare limited-edition beers that will never be repeated. Pair your tasting with local snacks, explore the history of beer in the brewery museum, and enjoy an exclusive guided tour led by their master brewer.

Description

Octo is a family owned and run microbrewery, home to the award-winning Octopus Beer. They simply love beer and put their heart and soul into creating innovative and exceptional tasting brews. Their goal is to brew the best beer possible, using only natural ingredients and respecting the traditional art of brewing.

The brewery uses classical individual beer technology, taking into account customers preferences. They practice innovation and experimentation with a wide variety of flavours and styles. There's always something new being created and you're sure to find something you've never tasted before!

As well as the tour and tasting the brewery houses a pint sized museum where you can find more about the history of beer.

The tour includes a tasting of seven types of beer, accompanied by small snacks (cheese, olives, and breadsticks). Guests will also explore the collection of ancient goblets and bottles, learn about the history of beer in Cyprus, and discover brewing technology, raw materials, and different beer styles. The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Location

The brewery is located in Sotira village. This is around 10 minutes drive from Ayia Napa, 15 minutes from Protaras and around 40 minutes from Larnaca.

Transport to the brewery is not included but can be arranged at an additional charge.
