The cruise departs from Larnaca Marina with the first stop being a short way off the Larnaca coast over the site of the Zenobia wreck where you can swim and snorkel. The Zenobia was a Swedish cargo ferry that sank in the 1980's with a full load of agricultural vehicles. It is a fascinating site, one of the top 10 for diving in the world and with lots of sealife.
From here we continue to Cape Pyla with it's many sea caves and beautiful red cliffs. Sea eagles live here and if we are lucky we may spot one. We then pass a fish farm where the typical Cypriot fish Tsipoura (Sea bream) is farmed. There are often dolphins in this area and again, with luck we may see them.
We sail on eastwards through the crystal clear waters to the famous beaches of Ayia Napa, passing Ayia Thekla, Macronissos, Landa, Nissi Beach, Sandy Bay, Ayia Napa harbour and Pantachou Beach. We head to Cape Greco, passing by the natural rocky Love Bridge and we can see the famous pirate caves (palaces caves). There are numerous beautiful sights here including the ancient cave below Agioi Anargyroi church and the highlight of this area, the blue lagoon where we have time for swimming and snorkelling.
At 13:00 everyone on board can enjoy the delicious Cypriot buffet, with appetizing homemade local dishes and BBQ.
Finally we cruise to the Famagusta ghost town view point where we can see the abandoned city in the distance and hear a little about the history while we enjoy some dessert. We then disembark at the Golden Coast harbour, Protaras. Transport back to hotels is provided.
