Paphos and Curium Coach Tour from Larnaca

A fascinating journey of discovery awaits on this excursion to the west of Cyprus where you can explore a wealth of Greco-Roman, Hellenic and Byzantine antiquities and visit the popular and historically important town of Paphos.

The first stop of the day is a short coffee break close to Choroikoitia then on to the impressive amphitheatre of ancient Kourion which is one of the most important archaeological sites on the island. The site sits on a 100 metre high cliff right next to the sea and offers breath-taking views of the coast of Episkopi Bay.

Kourion was destroyed by an earthquake in the late fourth century and this ancient city kingdom is now one of the most fascinating archaeological sites to explore on the island. you will have the chance to see the Greco-Roman theatre where gladiator games were held and the House of Eustolios with its mosaics and bath establishments.

The next stop is Paphos, where the entire city is a UNESCO heritage site. As well as the treasures of the sprawling archaeological park, there is a medieval fort at the picturesque harbour. We have free time here to explore the well preserved remains of ancient communities and the famous mosaics or choose to relax at a harbourside taverna.

Leaving Paphos we continue back along the coast to the village of Yeroskipou. Home of the Cyprus Delights or 'Loukoumia' since 1895,we can sample some of these sweet treats and pick up a souvenir or two.

The final stop of the day is the legendary Aphrodite's Rock - Petra Tou Romiou. This rock is said to be where the goddess Aphrodite was born from the waves and offers a stunning seascape. Take those all important photo's or enjoy a refreshing a swim. Legend has it that eternal youth may be granted to those who swim around the rock three times.

Please be waiting at the pick up point before the time stated in case the bus is running early. Pick up times start around 08.10am in Larnaca.

Return times are approximately - Larnaca 17:00

Entrance to the House of Dionysos at Paphos is not included and is optional, this costs €4.50 per person aged over 12 (Under 12's go free). This can be paid on the day of the tour at the location.

The tour bus is not wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs which are foldable can be carried in the luggage compartment under the bus. You must be able to climb the stairs of the bus.

Please note that many parts of the tour are not accessible by wheelchair. There is much uneven ground and some steps around the archaeologic sites.

Infant buggies/strollers which are foldable can be carried in the luggage compartment under the bus.

Infants aged under 2 years must sit on their parents lap during the tour.

Food and drinks are not allowed on the bus (water is allowed only)

The front seats of the bus may only be reserved for people with disabilities* (see note below).

Children are welcome on this tour, but please bear in mind that it is a long day with lots of travelling so may not suit all children.

Pick up times are around 08.10 am from hotels in Larnaca area.

Return times are Larnaca around 17.00
