This completely unique experience is a must do and you don't even need to be able to swim. Walk on the seabed using underwater helmets and feed the fish below the waves. The enchanting underwater world is easier to explore than you think! We have perfect conditions for exploring the deep with calm, crystal clear water and plenty of marine life. This activity is perfect for groups of friends, couples and families with teenagers.

Available from Mid-April to early November, daily except Sundays, weather permitting. Please book at least 48 hours in advance.

In the case of bad weather for being underwater we may need to reschedule your trip. If this happens we will offer an alternative date/time. If we can not find a suitable alternative we will refund your payment.

Restrictions

Minimum age 8 years, minimum height 1.2m, minimum shoulder width 32cm

Participants under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by someone 18 years or older who can legally sign the briefing/medical questionnaire acknowledgement proforma.

Pregnant ladies are not allowed to dive

Certain physical and mental impairments or conditions may restrict participants from taking part in the dives. Examples include but not limited to: back or neck issues, history of health conditions, seizures, respiratory problems (including asthma), mental impairments such as anxiety or phobias(claustrophobia etc.)

Cannot do this activity within 12 hours of flying home.

Description

Undersea adventures has been operating for almost 25 years in Cyprus and is the only company in Europe that performs walking on the seabed using helmets and Scooters (B.O.B's) in open water.

The most unique thing about this type of diving is that there is no need to know how to swim (you walk), there is no need to carry heavy equipment on your back and there are no complicated calculations or long training, just a 10 minute safety briefing and you are good to go.

This activity is suitable for families with older children. Children ages over 8 with a minimum height of 1.2 metres tall with shoulder width of 32cm and over, can walk the seabed using helmets. It is a unique experience that the whole family can do together.

Helmets - Take the opportunity to stroll along the Seabed in 10ft of clear turquoise water not only can you observe the sea life as it swims around you but you also have the opportunity to hand feed the fish. There is a constant supply of fresh air pumped into the helmets and there is no restricting regulator or snorkel causing you discomfort or anxiety. Your head stays dry and you can even reach into touch your face.

Special occasion banners are available for underwater use - "will you marry me" "just married' "just engaged" "anniversary" "happy birthday"

Photo's of your dive are available to purchase on the day of the trip. These are digital images and videos sent by email for a cost of €20. there is no obligation to purchase photo's and you can view the images before you decide.

Pick up locations / Departure points

This activity takes place at Trinity Beach on the Eastern side of Protaras, close to Paralimni Marina.

Pick up from hotels in the Ayia Napa and Protaras areas is available for a supplement of €5 per person. This supplement is to be paid in cash to the driver on the day of the trip.

This activity is very popular and can only accommodate a small number of people at each time. We ask you for a second choice of date in case your first choice is already fully booked.

We will always try to accommodate last minute bookings but due to the popularity of this activity, we ask that you book as far in advance as possible.

Know before you go - Important Information

You may be required to complete a health questionnaire before you dive.

Maximum number of people on each dive - 16 people

This activity is not suitable for pregnant women or people who had lung or heart operation in the past 6 months.

Minimum age/height requirements: Helmets – height 1.2cm and minimum age 8, minimum shoulder width 32cm.

Not wheelchair accessible.

Each dive is escorted by a safety diver, or 2 safety divers if more than 4 people are in the group.

You must leave at least 12 hours between diving and flying

Pick up from hotels in Ayia Napa and Protaras areas is available for a €5 supplement per person. This supplement is to be paid in cash to the driver on the day of the trip.

All necessary equipment is included and no prior experience is necessary.

The experience lasts around 3.5 hours including a full 30 minutes in the water minute.

If you arrive for your underwater activity session under the influence of alcohol your dive will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund.

If you have booked this activity but are too afraid to dive, you will still be charged. You will not receive a refund.

If you have booked this activity and do not meet the age/height/weight restrictions then you will still be charged. You will not receive a refund.

Spectators are welcome to watch from the shore, however we cannot arrange transport for non-participants.
