Halloumi Making Food and Villages Tour from Ayia Napa Protaras

An alternative way to discover the real flavours of Cyprus is on this small group food experiences tour. Head into the majestic Troodos mountains as we visit traditional villages stopping for unique food experiences you won't find anywhere else.

We visit the home of a local woman to learn the traditional way of Halloumi cheese making. Take a tour of the workshop before making your own fresh halloumi and anari cheeses. You will be involved in the process from start to finish, whilst spending time with true locals.

We will then enjoy a delicious brunch with drinks and including the freshly made cheeses.

We then continue our journey through the scenic Troodos mountains where we stop to enjoy more delicious local produce. Depending on our route and availability of our hosts you'll enjoy 3 tasting experiences which could include some of the following - honey, traditional sweets, donkey milk products, chocolates, olive oil and wine. You can learn more about the production, sample the handmade products and learn about how they are made.

We will also take a visit to a popular and picturesque mountain village (The village you visit will depend on your pickup location and the route we are running on your tour date, it could be either Lefkara, Omodos or Pano Panayia)

This tour is a real treat for foodies and combines sightseeing and scenery with traditions and delicious local cuisine. Suitable for all ages but recommended for couples and small groups of friends.

Pick up is available from all hotels / apartments / villas in the Ayia Napa & Protaras areas.

Your pick up time will be around 08.30-09.00am. Your exact pick up time will be confirmed to you by the tour leader the evening before the tour once the day schedule is finalised.

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Please book at least 7 days in advance. We ask that you give us a second choice of date in case the host or guide are already booked up for your chosen date. (Only 1 booking can take place per day)
