Cyprus Tasting Tour from Ayia Napa Protaras

Really get to know the cuisine of Cyprus and the authentic produce of the island as we tour beautiful local villages where they make wonderful foods and drinks. This day tour will introduce you to local flavours and traditional methods followed by a full Cypriot Meze.

This excursion is packed with culinary highlights. Travelling through the local "red villages" sampling delicious local delicacies and learning how some of our favourite Cypriot foods are made.

We begin our journey with a visit to a folklore museum in a local village where we can step back in time and experience how Cypriots used to live. Next we visit a local farm with many animals and fruit trees.

Discover how the animals are milked and how that milk is turned into the famous halloumi cheese. Have a go at making your own in a cheese making masterclass. We'll also visit the local flour mill and learn how flour making has evolved in Cyprus over the years. You can then use the milled flour in either a bread making or pasta making lesson.

During our visits you will have the chance to sample many traditional delicacies and local products as you discover new flavours and tastes, unique to Cyprus. Our last stop is at a traditional village taverna where you can enjoy a full Cypriot meze. Made up of many small dishes, you will get chance to eat a wide variety of Cyprus specialities.

This tour is perfect for foodies! You also get to see a little more of Cyprus off the beaten track and away from the usual tourists places.

Pick up times are around 08.00 from hotels in the Protaras area, 08.15 from Ayia Napa.
