Akamas Panorama Walking Tour from Limassol, Paphos, Nicosia

This tour is available Monday to Friday (not at weekends), all year round, excluding public holidays.

The start time is around 08.30am

The walk itself will last around 5 hours.

The walk is in the Akamas peninsula, a pristine area, almost untouched by man, rich in biodiversity.

Usually, we do a 10 -km combination of Adonis and Aphrodite trails and ascend to the peak known as 'Moutti tis Sotiras' from where one enjoys unobstructed views of the north Akamas coast from Cape Arnaouti, the tip of Akamas, towards the northwest to the Bay of Polis and all the way to Pomos in the northeast.

After a pause for a picnic and for enjoying the majestic view, we walk to Baths of Aphrodite cave on the Aphrodite trail (the last stretch is on the coastal dirt road, near the cliff).

We can make other arrangements for shorter walks in the area if travellers prefer (eg. do the 7-km Aphrodite trail).

We can also arrange to extend the walk to Blue Lagoon cove, an excellent place for swimming in Cyprus or the adjacent Fontana Amoroza cove, or even a one-way coastal walk to Fontana Amoroza/Blue Lagoon with boat transportation - for a fee - in the opposite way.

The trip is all about a customisable walk along the north coast of the Akamas peninsula.

You can choose to either meet the guide at the tour start point or he can pick you up in his private car from your hotel/apartment in the Paphos or Nicosia areas. Pick up is also available from Limassol and Nicosia at a location arranged in advance.

Please note that if choosing pick up, this is in the guide's own private vehicle which holds private insurance. It is not a public service vehicle or taxi.

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

For last minute bookings we will try to accommodate you.

We ask that you give us a second choice of date as the guide can only take 1 booking per day.

This tour is subject to good weather conditions. In bad weather your tour may be rescheduled.

Not suitable for wheelchairs or the less able or anyone with heart of back problems.

Not recommended for participants with serious medical conditions, for people with walking difficulty or uneasiness with walking close to steep slopes.

Suitable for ages 13+ with moderate physical fitness who can walk around 10km over varied terrain.

The schedule of the walk is flexible to spend more time/less time at points of interest along the way as required. You can discuss preferences with the guide on the day of the tour.

As a rule, unless other arrangements are agreed beforehand, the trip is guided by Phivos, either in the English or the Greek language. Phivos also speaks good German, good Spanish, elementary French and elementary Mandarin.

Water (Not possible to purchase on the walking trail so mist be bought with you).

Good shoes (with grip) for walking are necessary
