Cyprus is one of the best places to try Scuba diving for beginners. The sea is calm, clear, warm and has plenty of interesting things to see. On this beginners Discover Scuba session we head to Sandy Bay in Ayia Napa which has interesting rocky features and plenty of marine life. On this introductory dive, our fully qualified PADI and RAID dive professional will give you all the necessary safety information and instructions before taking you down to a maximum of 6 metres in this fascinating bay.

This diving trip can only run when the sea is not too rough. If on your booked date the sea is not calm enough to run then we will need to reschedule your trip.
Please note that during the early and later months of the year the water is significantly colder than in the height of summer.

Cyprus is one of the best places in the world to try scuba diving for the first time. The calm, crystal clear, warm waters and excellent visibility make it the perfect diving location for beginners. If you've ever fancied exploring the underwater world then the Discover Scuba Diving Experience is for you.
Back at the diving centre you can view the photo's taken during the dive, these are available to purchase if you wish for €20 per group. Refreshments at the dive centre are also provided before and after the dive.
You will be required to complete a health questionnaire before you dive.

To scuba dive safely, you must be in good general health and not be extremely overweight. Your respiratory and circulatory systems and body air spaces, such as your sinuses, must be normal and healthy. Pregnant women and people with heart trouble, a current cold or congestion, epilepsy, active asthma, a severe medical problem, or who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, should not dive. If taking prescription medication, consult your doctor before participating in this program and if possible obtain a doctor’s note to say you are fit to scuba dive.
If you arrive for your discover scuba diving session under the influence of alcohol your dive will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund.
You will not be able to dive if you have any of the following conditions: ear infection, ear disease, hearing loss or problems with balance, a history of ear or sinus surgery, cold, congestion, sinusitis or bronchitis, a history of respiratory problems, severe attacks of hay fever or allergies, or lung disease, a collapsed lung (pneumothorax) or history of chest surgery, active asthma or history of emphysema or tuberculosis, currently taking medication that carries a warning about any impairment of your physical or mental abilities, behavioural health, mental or psychological problems or a nervous system disorder, are you or could you be pregnant, over 45 and have a family history of heart attack or stroke, a history of colostomy, heart disease or heart attack, heart surgery or blood vessel surgery, high blood pressure, angina, or take medication to control blood pressure, bleeding or other blood disorders, diabetes, seizures, blackouts or fainting, convulsions or epilepsy or take medications to prevent them, back, arm or leg problems following an injury, fracture or surgery, fear of closed or open spaces or panic attacks (claustrophobia or agoraphobia).
