• Guiding in Virgin Mary of Asinou Church (UNESCO World Heritage Site) (approx. 30 mins)

• Free time in Troodos Mountains Square for lunch (optional extra not included in the price) (approx. 1 hour)

• Free time in Limassol Old Town Center for sightseeing, etc.

Description

This tour is perfect for discovering the real Cyprus. See the highlights of the island and experience the history and culture of Cyprus in some of the most scenic and popular places for tourists to visit.

The first stop of the day is in Nicosia where you have free time to explore the "Laiki Geitonia" or old quarter of Nicosia. Wander the narrow cobbled lanes, with shaded courtyard squares hosting quaint cafes. Shop for souvenirs and local handicrafts from artisans of traditional products or admire the faded elegance of the architecture. If you prefer, you can cross the ancient Venetian walls into the new town with it's boutiques and designer stores.

Next we move up into the Troodos mountains and on to the remote forest church at Asinou, which is a UNESCO world heritage site boasting ancient frescoes. We take time here to appreciate the natural and spiritual beauty of the location. We then continue higher into the peaks, stopping at the high point of Troodos Square where you can choose to purchase lunch in one of the cafe's or take advantage of the many photo opportunities.

In the afternoon we follow the mountains roads lower until we reach Limassol City, where we have free time to enjoy the old town centre or if you prefer a taste of the how the other half lives, visit the modern Limassol marina to admire the luxury yachts.

Your nearest pick up point may be a few minutes walk from your hotel. Your exact pick up location and time will be advised upon confirmation.

Please be waiting at the pick up point before the time stated in case the bus is running early. Pick up times start around 08.10am in Larnaca.

Return times are approximately - Larnaca 17:15

Know before you go - Important Information

The tour bus is not wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs which are foldable can be carried in the luggage compartment under the bus. You must be able to climb the stairs of the bus.

Please note that it is not possible to cross into the Turkish controlled parts of Nicosia during this trip.

Infant buggies/strollers which are foldable can be carried in the luggage compartment under the bus.

Infants aged under 2 years must sit on their parents lap during the tour.

Food and drinks are not allowed on the bus (water is allowed only)

The front seats of the bus may only be reserved for people with disabilities* (see note below).

Children are welcome on this tour.

Pick up times are around 08.10 am from hotels in Larnaca area.

Return times are Larnaca around 17.15.
