MUSAN Snorkelling trip from Protaras

MUSAN Snorkelling Tours are available daily from 01 April to 31 October.

Trips start at 09.15am and 13.30 (1.30pm)

The snorkelling tour can only run when it is not too windy. If on your booked date the sea is not calm enough to run then we will need to reschedule your trip.

Please note that during the early and later months of the year the water is significantly colder than in the height of summer.

Pick up/drop off from your hotel/apartment/villa in the Protaras / Pernera / Kapparis / Ayia Napa area.

Boat fee if you prefer to snorkel from a boat rather than swim out from the shore.

Full payment is required at the time of booking for this trip. If choosing the swim from boat option which cost an extra €15 per person, we will send you a link to pay this cost separately after booking.

Please book at least 48 hours in advance.

Please give a second choice of date in case the sea conditions are not calm enough for the trip to run.

On the day of the trip you will be picked up from your hotel in the Protaras or Ayia Napa area and taken to the dive site.

Before entering the water you will receive a safety briefing by a fully trained dive professional. You will learn how to clear your snorkel, clear your mask and duck dive underwater as well as safe breathing techniques and all the other info you need to have a wonderful and safe snorkel at MUSAN.

As well as swimming to the site from the shore, we have the option of snorkelling from a boat for an additional charge which may suit less strong swimmers

The snorkel trip is around 2-2.5 hours long. Photo's taken during the trip are available to purchase from the dive centre if you wish (no obligation to purchase, if you do with to they will cost €10 or they are free for groups of 4 people or more)

MUSAN is an underwater forest, the first of its kind in the world. Consisting of over 93 artworks some of which are in the form of trees, others which are figurative in nature. Since it's launch in 2021 it has rapidly been colonised by local sea creatures and you can see an abundance of fish and other marine life at the site.

MUSAN is located at Pernera Beach in Ayia Napa, in between the harbour and Nissi Beach. It is a shallow entry into the sea from the shore with few rocks and is calm and safe for confident swimmers.

During the early/later part of the year the water can feel much colder than at peak season. You may wish to wear a wetsuit at these times of year.
