A unique mountain adventure by jeep, showing you some of the highlights of Cyprus only accessible by off-road jeep. Visit beautiful traditional villages, admire the stunning scenery of the mountains and the coast and discover off the beaten track sights.

Description

This unique itinerary will take you to some off the beaten track hidden gems around the island of Cyprus. Expect breathtaking views, traditional villages, Cypriot culture and off-road adventure.

We start with a visit to the monastery of Ayia Thekla in the mountain village of Mosfiloti. This gorgeous site is built above the point where holy water flowed from the earth for Saint Eleni who dedicated the church there to Ayia Thekla. The holy water still flows today and the faithful visit the site to use it for skin conditions.

We then go off road for some mountain adventure with stunning panoramic views. We visit an abandoned copper mine where you can search for forgotten treasures, before exploring tiny traditional villages in the area and stopping for photo's at one of the many lakes.

A highlight of this trip is a visit to the beautiful village of Lefkara, famed for it's lace and silverwork. Shop for souvenirs, watch the artisans at work or just admire the quaint architecture as you wander the cobbled lanes.

Our last stop is back at the coast at Governors beach with it's famous white rocks. There is time to swim or relax at one of the beachside tavernas.

What is not Included

Lunch and refreshments are not included. These can be purchased at Lefkara Village, Governors Beach or at the Kafenio.

We will always try to accommodate last minute bookings but we ask for a second choice of date/time in case your first choice is already full.

As this trip is by jeep there is a limited number of spaces available on each tour.

Know Before you go - Important Information

Not wheelchair accessible.

Not suitable for children under 3. Older children may participate under their parents supervision but please bear in mind that it is a long day with lots of travelling so may not suit all children.

Pick up times are around 08.45 am from hotels in Larnaca area.
