This tour follows the coast through Pernera, Protaras and Ayia Napa and on towards the more traditional areas. Visit the new Ayia Napa Marina then on to see one of the oldest churches on the island located on the coastline. Take in the views of the Mediterranean and learn about the influence of Pirates many centuries ago, see fish farms and traditional fishing boats moored in a picturesque estuary before heading inland towards the Divided Line.

Our guide will tell you about the local produce and the products that make Cyprus famous including the delicious Cyprus potato. The Original Red Bus will take you to the villages of Liopetri, Avgorou,Vrysoulles, Frenaros and Dherynia telling you about their traditions and cultures. Learn about the many evening festivals celebrated in Cyprus, the cost of living and places to revisit. Cyprus has a long and interesting history and as we journey through the area you will get to see the old churches and memorials from the 1950s conflict leading up to the invasion of 1974.

Many tourist are not aware of the invasion of this island in 1974 which has changed its political landscape and still continues be a talking point. Cyprus has now been divided or partitioned for over 45 years and we will take you along this Divided Line. Today it is still patrolled by the military 365 days a year, by both Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot soldiers. Achna Village is one of the most poignant landmarks on the Divided Line. This village has been empty since 1974 and you can still see the empty homes and abandoned cemetery, no flowers have been laid on these graves for over 45 years. The UN have priority control over this area and on a daily basis the UN helicopters fly over. We then head back to the coast where we have see the ghost town of Varosha and Famagusta from the viewpoint.

During the tour we offer a refreshment stop where you can try known and sometimes unknown complementary seasonal fruit. Hot and cold drinks can be purchased from the farm kiosk and toilets are located on the grounds. Our guide will join you and answer any questions you wish to ask.
