Description

Salamis was one of the main city-kingdoms in Cyprus and archaeological finds here date back to the late Bronze age (11th century BC). With influences from the Phoenicians, Byzantines, Greeks, Persians and Romans, Salamis is one of the most historically fascinating archaeological sites on Cyprus.

Famagusta is a fascinating city with thousands of years of rich history. Step back in time as you explore the ruins of churches, chapels, palaces and other historically important buildings.

It is said that Famagusta has the remains of 365 religious places including mosques, churches and chapels. The city is encased by huge Venetian walls which once protected the city. Walk around the walls and visit the Othello's tower.

The old town is full of bustling lanes and streets lined with bustling shops, cafe's and restaurants. There's a feel of east meets west and modern times meeting the past all in this engaging city.

This tour lasts around 6-6.5 hours and your own private guide will show you the most interesting places in this unique area.

This is a private tour for up to 4 people. Pick up time is 09.00am from hotels in the Larnaca areas.
