Description

Omodos is on the most popular villages to visit in the lower foothills of the Troodos Mountains. This is wine country and Omodos is home to the islands oldest wine press. You'll see the fields of vines as your journey travels through beautiful countryside to the charming village.

Omodos is home to many artists and artisans and there's plenty of tine galleries and shops where you can purchase unique and thoughtful souvenirs as well as hand made traditional handcrafts. There's tavernas and bakeries if you'd like to enjoy a meal or you may like to sit with a coffee in the square and people watch as you soak up the tranquil atmosphere.

The Holy Cross Monastery sits in the centre of Omodos and is a serene and beautiful religious site that's well worth taking a look at.

Our trip will also take in some of the beautiful natural sights of the nearby Troodos aeea including the submerged church of St Nicholas at Kouris Dam, Millomeris waterfall and a medieval bridge
