For anyone with an interest in human history, this tour is a real treat. The Choirokoitia settlement dates back over 7000 years and is believed to have contained around 600 dwellings. The circular stone houses are unique and fascinating in their design and ingenuity.

Nearby Tenta, located in the beautiful Vasilikos Valley, dates back even further, possibly to 8000BC.

The site has both reconstructions of these homes as well as excavations and you can explore at your own pace. Located in a quiet area a little inland from Larnaca, you get the sense that this was a peaceful farming community towards the end of the stone age period.
