Limassol Castle was where Richard the Lionheart married Queen Berengaria of Navarre in 1191. With so much history it's a real step back in time to imagine medieval crusades, knights and kings walking these streets.

Today Limassol castle sits in the centre of the bustling old town of Limassol which is full of charming boutiques, quaint architecture, bijou littles cafes, and popular restaurants. Take time to explore the castle before wandering around the old town as modern means history.

From Limassol we head a few miles west to Kolossi castle. This was once a crusader stronghold and has also seen centuries of dramatic history. It's hard to imagine this now sleepy village once home to fierce military action. The Knights at Kolossi were also the producers of Commandaria wine which is the oldest named wine in the world which is still in production today.
